"I have been going here for almost thirty years!  Always excellent service and I love the fact that it is still family owned and operated.  They have everything you need for vacuums, sewing machines, flooring .....  I always rent steam cleaners from them.  Their steamers are always clean with no yucky stuff from previous customers.  Prices are very reasonable.  Oh yeah, did I say I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!"

They are both light weight which makes vacuuming easy and not so much a chore. I used to dread pulling out my old vacuum cleaner due to the weight and strain it put on my body. When I took home my new vacuum, I didn't love it so they gladly took it back and was able to find me an alternative, going so far as to match the price on Amazon and switch out the tools so I could get ones that made the most sense for me. This is a family owned and operated business that is truly what you imagine a family owned business should be. They've been doing this for 60 years and it shows. I highly recommend these guys for all of your flooring needs - you will learn a ton just by stopping in and checking it out! They do carpet and hardwood too - they will be making some area rugs for us."

"This family run business, now in its third generation, is one of the gems of San Pedro.  Unobtrusive, there is not much "curb appeal" to the establishment, but inside you enter a world of sewing machines and vacuum cleaners with all the accoutrement's.  But lots of places sell stuff like this.  The glory of {Bay Cities Vac Sew & Carpet} is that it really fixes things, too.  We dropped off a 50 year old Bernina and a week later if hummed.  We bought, on their recommendation, a Miele vacuum, the best we have ever owned.  The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable, out to make you a customer as long as you live in Pedro, not just make a quick sale for the commission.  They will offer advice on their products and your vac when asked, and invariably it is the best I have received.
One unadvertised special is that they will also sharpen scissors and your kitchen knives -- for an incredible $1 each."
